Rooms:

    How many rooms do you have?
    The hotel includes 8 bedrooms, two singles, two doubles and four suites.

    How large are your rooms and suites?
    Room size varies depending on the type of accommodation. Please ask upon booking.

    Do you offer connecting rooms?
    We do not offer connecting rooms at the hotel Beit Al-Mamlouka.

    What views do your rooms offer?
    All our guest rooms on the ground floor face onto the courtyard of the hotel. You have views of the orange and lemon trees and the liwan. Those on the top floor overlook the courtyard and also offer views onto the old city of Damascus.
    We will do our best to accommodate your request for a particular view. Please contact our reservations department for further information.

    Can you offer tourism recommendations for Damascus?Our General Manger and the staff on hand are happy to offer tourist, restaurant and activity recommendations.

    Can you help with planning our trip within Syria?
    Yes we are happy to help. Please provide us with your itinerary or suggested routing either before arriving via email or fax or upon arrival.

    What in-room amenities do you provide?
    All guestrooms offer the following in-room amenities: wireless internet access, mini bar, satellite television, telephone, desk with lamp and chair, safes, sofa, air-conditioning, bathroom amenities and 24 hour concierge service.

    I am celebrating a special occasion during my stay (e.g. honeymoon, anniversary). Do you provide any special arrangements?
    We would be delighted to make special arrangements to assist you in making your stay more memorable. Our room service is able to have champagne, flowers, chocolates or other amenities delivered to your room prior to your arrival. This can either be arranged by the guests, or by another party on behalf of the guests.

Dining:

    Do you provide dinner?
    No the hotel does not provide dinner but there are many restaurants in walking distance of the old quarter of Damascus.

    Is breakfast included in the room rate?
    Breakfast is included in the room rate.

    Do you provide Arabic or Continental style breakfasts?
    We provide both types of breakfasts. Please let us know which one you would prefer.

    What time does the bar close?
    The bar has no official closing time – it is open all night.

    Can one invite guests to the bar that are not staying at the hotel?Yes.

Directions, Transportation & Parking:

    Where are you located?
    In Bab Touma, the Christian quarter of Damascus on the left of the Hammam Bakri.

    Can you provide driving instructions from airport to the hotel?
    For more complete directions, please read the "Location" page.

    What type of transportation do you offer to and from the airports and what is the cost?
    Transportation from the airport to the hotel and vice versa is provided at a cost of $50. Please provide us with your booking details. We would be happy to arrange transportation.

    Can I park my car nearby?
    Yes you can park your car anywhere in the old town of Damascus. There is no charge for this in Syria, however due to the alleyways and narrow streets it is often hard to find a parking space in the old town.

    Can you help with hiring a car for personal use?
    We would be happy to help with hiring of a car and can provide several names of reputable companies in Damascus.

    What time is breakfast from?
    Breakfast is served from 7.30am.

    Can one sit in the courtyard and relax?
    Yes and tea is served to you throughout the day.

    Does one need a two or three pin plug in Syria?
    A 2 pin plug. The wattage is 220 volts.

    Can one hire out the hotel for special occasions (e.g. an engagement or birthday party)?
    Yes.

    Do you have a night porter?
    Yes.
